How to Fix Generic Bluetooth Adapter Driver Issue Generic Bluetooth Adapter Problem Overview What is the Generic Bluetooth Adapter on Windows 10? Yeah, the Display Port I'm using is on the GPU.Generic Bluetooth Adapter Problem Overview I reseated it and it didn't fix the problem unfortunately. I did try taking the cable off of the Headset directly.

Also, I don't have Bluetooth drivers on my Desktop because I have no Bluetooth device in my build.
Generic usb hub driver location update#
I could have possibly downloaded the wrong socket driver update tool from my motherboard's homepage ( ) I actually have no idea if this is what you and others are referring to as USB Drivers, but I'm not sure where else I would look. It only installs the pass-through (3D Camera) and a Generic Hub Controller.
Generic usb hub driver location install#
It does not install several things like Bluetooth, Monitor, or USB HUB and Audio Drivers. If you read the description you probably saw that it's only installing one driver when the Index is plugged in.

I tried Steam in Admin, not sure how to do Steam VR in Admin but if it's from the application, I'll try it out that way. Some have even said removing the facial gasket and unplugging and plugging in the cable fixed their issue, and scanning for new devices in device manager fixed the rest.Īlso make sure the Disport you are using is working and you are using the one on the GPU and not the Motherboard. Some people even went as far as installing a new USB 3.x PCI-E card to fix the issue. I've read on several page some experiencing a similar issue have fixed it by either updating their USB 3.x driver and updating their Bluetooth drivers in device manager. The 3D Camera is just the pass-through cameras, even if you disable them in settings, it's drivers that will still be installed. The Valve Index should install several things, I believe its things like Bluetooth, Monitor, USB HUB and Audio Drivers. Uninstall Steam VR and reinstall, might be worth trying Steam VR beta in properties in the tools library. Try running Steam in Administrator mode and running Steam VR in Admin mode to if that doesn't help. Thank you all for the responses while I was still having issues with this! We verified the issues by having a friend come over with his trident cable, and my headset began to work at that point. UPDATE 3: I have discovered that my Trident Cable is messed up, Steam is sending me a new one as soon as one is available. I'm gonna try to use my index on his setup, if it doesn't work, then we can be sure it's a hardware order. UPDATE 2: I'm taking a trip an hour south of me to a friend who has an Index of his own and has the proper drivers and everything on his PC.

Additionally, one of the roomates' computers uses a Rift S.

Windows 10 tries to "setup 3D Camera" with no luck from SteamVR. UPDATE: I've tried it now on my personal computer and my two roomates' computers, the same thing is happening. It's in pristine condition, never dropped, never had a single thing happen to it that would cause any issues. I put up a support ticket on steam, but I am wondering if it really is a problem with the headset. Which is odd, because if I select "Disable Direct View" in SteamVR, I get a blank desktop appearing on my headset.

It's the same thing that happens on my roommate's computer when he tries to detect it on his, which tells me there might be a hardware problem with the headset. I think it's related to how the drivers try to install. When I plug in my Valve Index, I get a device added called "3d Camera" and that's it.
